Judging by how my scoring has gone... I believe that the generous voters came at the onset, and that subsequent voters viewed my photo as a genuine piece of cr@p. Yesterday I had a healthy 6ish score and the last time I looked it stood at 5.1 something... and that is why I turned my score off. I want only happy thoughts when I am voting.... hehehehehehe :O)

I am a noob, but when I first started scoring (at midnight local time) soon as people were able too.

I was giving 4-5 just for having a building that looked abandoned. Then scroing up from their. But then I slowly trudged through it all and found myself giving lower and lower scores. I have since went back and still continue to go back re score. I have all the 6-10's done but I have half 4-2 and a few ones.

But being the noob I am....how could I give a 10 or a 1 if I am new and didn't know what a 10 would look like even if picasso painted one for me.

What if I thought the best image on here was only a 7....would I then have to rate everything based on that. Or give it a 10 because it is the best I could find and then move everyone else up a few notches?

You just can't understand the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. That was mine. If you can't respect that then Oh well. You came off very rude which is unacceptable.

I try to vote on a curve. I start out with mostly 4-6 and re-adjust on a second pass. Then re-adjust on a third pass. I have rated more than half the images a 5, probably 1/5 are 4s, 1/5 are 6s, and the rest are 3's and 7-10s. Only a couple 3's.

I have voted 100% and am now commenting and re-adjusting. I am trying to get to as many as I can but have only commented on about 60 so far...

The only way I can judge in a competition such as this is to compare them to each other. Someone has to win, right? An 8 can become a 10 based on the other images I have scored an 8 and so on.

I noticed my score is getting progressively lower... (now around 5.3x)

I think in part, it's because of the multitude of entries. And how the topic forced a "very" similar feel for many of the entries. I think we had this in part with the cemetary challenge but no where near such a degree.
