My wife took me to Cannon Beach Oregon for my birthday last weekend. I was able to get this three shot panorama. The weather was pretty good, but the rain was coming...

Very nice rkfoote, is that using the Nikon software to stich or do you use some other program? I use my canon software but it didn't work, yours looks very nice.

Photoshop CS has a stitch program that works pretty well. It is under file--automate.

It was stitched using photoshop CS (File->Automate->Photomerge) and then I manually cleaned up the seams. It was upsized using genuine fractals (sweet software) to 3800x10000 (12x36 @ 300 dpi).
Here is a 100% crop (upsized) of the middle rock. Notice you can see the seagulls! There is a fair amount of grain from the upsize and I think I shot around ISO 400.

Sweet. Now that you've upsized it, run that through NeatImage. It will get rid of the noise beautifully. Be sure to use a target to calculated the noise profile, and adjust the noise reduction amounts manually. Place the target around that rock you just posted, since it is a nice even color and the noise is easy to see.
