By invading Iraq the US angered the vast majority of the Muslim world and created many more terrorists than would have existed prior.

[[[Excuse me....sorry...they've been hating ANYONE who is not muslim for centuries. 80% of the conflicts in the world are with Islam. Let's list them:

U.S. - Extremeist Islam

Israel - Palestine (guess what, sure 600,000 Palestinians were displaced, many of which were in land taken by Jordan and Syria but you don't hear gripes about that. Did you know 500,000 Jews were displaced from the surrounding arab countries into Israel?)

India - Pakistan and Muslim terrorists

Indonesia - Islamic terrorists

Philipines - Islamic terrorists

Russia - Chechnya and Muslim extremists

Yugoslavia

Sudanese Animalists and Christians slaughtered by Muslims

Now....do we see a trend? This is just TOO many to over-look. This group (and not all, but since the masses don't check the extremist (approx. 20%) they have too much influence and control. The result....everywhere this groups touches there is conflict and bloodshed.

Oh, and before you go mentioning the crusades. Perhaps you should do some research. The crusades began after several christian nations were assaulted and slaughtered by muslim conquerers. The eastern orthodox church, petitioned help from it's western Catholic brothers. The Pope seeing the assault on the christian nations of the east called for the christian nations of the west to come to their aide. Thus ensued the crusades. And of course, conquerers always plunder. So yes, Islam there as well. Picked a fight and got a bloody nose.

Secondly, yes....the organized religion of the church during the medieval and colonial periods was horrible. But it had a reformation. Islam is in dire need of it's Martin Luther.

So please.....don't tell me they hate us for invading Iraq. They simply hate EVERYONE who is not muslim. (and they = extremists, as opposed to the 80% majority who simply want to be able to raise a family in safety like everyone else).

Do you think you should be? It seems like a pretty frequent occurrence that people aren't watching/reading/responding to the things you want them to; it probably shouldn't come as a surprise at this point.

Anyway you dice or slice it, the Bush administration's war on terror is not working, if you really believe it is a war on terror. More and more Americans and Iraqis are being killed in Iraq everyday. The US got rid of one terrorist and created thousands of others. There is no exit strategy for the US and Americans will continue to die there for a long time to come...and for what? We've lost American lives and depleted the military personnel and spent billions of dollars there to get nothing for it. We are no safer now than we were before 9/11. Since we are sending the national guard overseas, it could even be argued that we are even more vulnerable in the US now. What are we still doing in Iraq and Afghanistan?
