Triangles for me means : Objects arranged in a triangle, Watermellon-wedges, Set-squares, and Love-triangles! Any new ideas??

| Not many triangles foundin nature or purely. But pizza slices I am sure everyone has thought of that. Pie's and cakes as well. Yeild signs....maybe radioactive signs. The side of swing sets forms a triangle and probrably will be seen somewhere. |

The objects do not have to be triangles however the composition must include a triangle. This can be imaginary lines connecting the objects in your composition to form a triangle. This is a standard element of design used frequently in photographs.
Consider this a free study to apply this technique.

And we'll see at least one razor-sharp, perfectly-lit, utterly antiseptic image of a set of draftsman's triangles and assorted other tools, I bet...

Hummmmm, so by actual letter of the law the picture must have soemthing in the shape of a triangle, or can it be something that is obviously configured or has definate traingle shapes within it? So a lemon or orange slice that is round, showing the individual "triangles" is it ok? A picture of a basketball showing the seams that form a triange? Let's not surprise those thinking out of the box, yes or no on items that have triangle shown or must it be a general triangle shape. What say ye all my friends???

The placement of objects in the composition can also form a triangle as stated in the description.

Robert you should know by now that meeting a challenge head-on is very important.
I myself, am feelin kinda 4-ish about this one. I might have to take a couple of cold showers and hit the streets.

Pizza is technically not triangular but everybody love a good pizza shot, every now and then. I mean, what's not to love?
I expect to see a few slices in this challenge and you know what they say about pizza slices or at least pizza images...

How about the lines on the a leaf? There are many triangles, but people might complain because the shapes are not staring them in the face. What are your thought on this one?

I'll score it based on the topping... if I like it (e.g. if it causes salivation) you get a 10. If it causes me to lose my appetite, I'll sink you with 2 or a 3. It has to be really bad for a 1. (Haven't given a 1 lately.)

There are geometries in which the faces of polygons may be curved. In which the sum of the angles inside a triangle may approach, but never attain, 360 degrees. So I submit that a wedge is a triangle, and this gives the green light to pizzas and lime. In fact, make mine a garlic, shrimp, cilantro, fresh tomato, pepper & LIME pie, please...

| I got an unusual shot the other day. It's in my portfolio I called it "shoulda been triangles submission" I took it a day too early and the light was wrong anyway. I may go back and reshoot it. It's a really long hike in to get it though. |

| I just posted my triangle entry. I'll just say that it's a "humor" entry -- a natural picture (not staged) that happens to be funny (at least, I think so), which will never be a wall-hanger. I realize that it will be rated lower because humor shots rarely do that well, but what the heck. Made me laugh, and it meets the theme, so voila. Entered. |

Actually, I'd not submit this. Shapes made by trees are hard to distinguish against a wood background, they don't stand out enough.

P.S. BTW, I think you may be confusing triangles with squares. ;-) The angles of a square sum to 360 degrees, but those of a triangle to 180. :-) |

Sure they are, they have 3 angles. The may not be perfect matching sides but still 3 angles make a tri angle in my book. |
