I am setting up a darkroom and I just bought an Ilfolab 2150rc. I am unsure of how to set it up and cannot find any info on google. Does anyone know how to get it up and running? I realize that all you are digital people, but I am sure some of you use to use film right?

I know bearmusic used to use film, I think professionally, you might want to try and PM him if no one else knows.

PM SOFAP (sofapwe@ma.rr.com) He is a kosack on film and processing. I will tell him to respond in depth.

Yes, better try sofap, I am WAY out of date on that stuff. I can help with the basic (or advanced for that matter) procedures for printing B/W, but I never seriously printed color and I am not familiar with any new-generation enlargers. I last printed maybe 15 years ago... It sound slike you are seeking help on how to use a particular enlarger, and I'm not up to date on that.

Feel free to contact me on the processes themselves, though.

You know... those single-use image sensors that come in packages of 24 or 36?

Thank you everyone on you comments. The Ilfolab is a paper processor. I am very framiliar with how to print, but the machine itself is very confusing to set up. Thanks again.

Wasn`t that Ilfords answer to multi contrast printing? I looked at it once, but it was to darned expensive. But now that Ilford has gone belly up you might struggle to get some answers.
PS there is nothing wrong with film. When after a short time your digi printouts start to fade think on these things.

MY digital prints don't fade; they're archival. I could never do THAT with color prints, or not economically anyway/ B/W is another story of course...
