Some images from today, any feedback most welcome.

This is the first time I have been along to a Wildlife Park where I set out to take some decent images (for me anyway). I have recently purchased a Sigma 28-200mm lense and these images were taken between 150mm and 200mm focal length.

Please let me know what you think?

-- that one is awesome. I think it would be better if a little bit of flash were used, or if the light was shining on him a bit more. And if you could find an angle where you could see both of his eyes.

Great day (seems like the first sunny weekend in Oxfordshire this year!).

I am quite pleased with results, always find it a difficult balancing act - responsible father with his eye on the kids (catching them before leaping into the penguin enclosure), or waiting those extra few seconds in viewfinder mode for the shot you want?

if the kids are heading for the penguins go for the picture....if they are heading for the rhinos go for the kids

That tortoise is fantastic. I had a Sigma 28-200 and hated it, but it was probably an older version. Yours seems to work OK.

Thanks Hugh,

I have definately had mixed results with it. These are probably the first images that I have been really happy with, but thats more to do with user error I think!

What new lense have you swapped it for?

I got a Sigma 28-80 (f2.8-4) and a Nikon 75-300. They're both much better. But I normally use a 50 or 20 prime.
