This may be a dumb question but how exactly do you apply the update to your camera? I'm assume you would connect your camera to your computer but then do you run an executable or replace files or what? |

Format your cf card, then pass the file of the firmwire to your cf card, now insert your card on the camera and go to menu on your camera and firmwire version, then update it...
Wait for someone to conferme this since i am not really sure this is right but i guess it's like this.

Where is the firware update for the Good old 300D/Digital Rebel?
Canon should do for us 300D owners what Nikon did with it's firmware update for the D70.
sorry for the ranting.

Question, for the 350D, can I upload the file for the update using the card INSIDE the camera, or does it have to be with a CF cardreader?
It's cz I don't have a reader. Does that mean I can't upgrade? |

It has nothing to do with the reader, if you don't have one just copy the update file to the camera just like you would have done had it been a picture file. No problem. The card reader is just recommended, that's all.

I can't do that. I wanted to copy some pictures to my cf card recently so I could process them at a lab, and the zoom browser & explorer software wouldn't allow it.
I recently bought a card reader. |
