Dang...I shot a CCI** (high level Three Day Equestrian Event) only short while ago...and my next major event (100 mile international endurance race, equestrian, again) starts soon AFTER the deadline....guess I'm gonna have to find a rodeo or small kids playing soccer in the park....just kidding!

well at least there's sport over there. Here, i wont be able to get the normal sports to take photograph of. what we do have here is, JUMPING to conclusions, STABBING each other's back, RUNNING to client's meetings, and so forth...

Grr, I'm not shooting anything this weekend. Like Ristyz I just miss out on the world carriage driving championships the week after. :-/

I'll have to see what amateur stuff is going on.....

This challenge comes a week late. Captured this image last week on a haze night at the local minor league game. Wonder how it would have scored?

So... If no faces are recognizable. I won't need a MR, right? Sorta like in ClickNSee's "Plunked"

am i correct?

Depends if it's a well known celebrity with a name on their shirt, I believe. It's not necessarily face - it's their 'likeness'.

honest opinion - mid 4 to 5
why - well there's little added interest, no added wow from the lighting, or shot from an unusual angle. The images are just 'straight' record shots. Need more 'action' or something to make them zing.
Sorry to be so brutal.

I do not mind, I know they are not extrordinary. And it's true, I shot the pictures from my bedroom window, so there was not much possibility of shooting from an interesting angle. It was overcasted that day so no much light either. Thanks for the comments.
I guess I have to make myself more courrage and get closer to people I do not know, ask if I can take some pictures of them. This will allow me to take some different shots.

You can make your own luck (if you know what I mean).

Kidding, of course

You don't need a model release to enter a shot in a challenge here. You do need a model release if you plan to do anything commercial with your photo and there is a recognizable face.

That sounds like the perfect opportunity, and fun to boot. Good Luck Amy.

so far my flower pics have gotten past all other challenges, no matter the theme. so can i? :)

well, the description says to shoot the action of the sport - so, maybe a runner with a flower in his/her teeth?

In T-ball days, there were always the athletes in the infield and the dandelion pickers that populated the outfield.......

Maybe a flamenco dancer, with a flower in the mouth, running to catch a touchdown pass! :D

Pidge - that had me laughing this morning!

I may sit this one out. Unless it's baseball ... wait, I just thought of something. hee hee hee Judy

yeah i remmeber when my sister played t-ball ... flowers/weeds were picked and when the occasional ball got hit to the field then they would fight over it

Boy do I wish I were there. I got two awesome shots of Lance in the 2001 tour (with my 35mm rebel). Unfortunately, I've lost the negatives - and the digital files are kinda weak.

There's a race in north jersey on Sunday afternoon - really tight course on city streets, with a 17% climb on one leg. Somebody take photos! Just don't get one of me when I bail and start pushing my bike up the hill. :(

I just heard at lunch that some sport commentator once had to defend his reason for never covering such sports as darts, pool and bowling like ESPN; his response was..."any sport where drinking a beer makes you better at it, isn't a sport."

I wonder if that rule will apply to this challenge? lol

Never - look, darts may be an Olympic sport according to this quote from the bbc:

"As the newest recognised sport, darts, under the guidance of the British Darts Organisation, pledges its wholehearted support for the Olympic Games in London and would be proud to be considered as the host nation's 'invitation sport' in 2012.
British Darts Organisation chief Olly Croft"
