I know that it goes without saying, but I'm going to say it anyway... Take loads of shots of the kids. I now bitterly regret not having taken many shots of my daughter when she was younger. We have virtually no photographs of her before about four years ago.
Above all, enjoy yourself.

Wow, that's so cool of you! So many parents get caught up in things besides their families. I respect you so much for doing that! Have a blast!

Good for you James. We'll hope to see you whenever you have time for us; you have your priorities right (my kids are both teens now and at that age they want little to do with parents!)
Please do stop by from time to time though!
Regards--Neil

I took my week off
.....now here is what I have to say.....
To everyone that responded with inspiring words "THANK YOU" I have now figured out that life is so wonderful.
My story and why I took a week away:
About three weeks ago my right arm starting hurting bad at my bicep well I thought it would go away...well it didn't. Well on Monday July 11 on the way home from work the pain shot across my chest and was hurting all through my chest. The pain was so bad I couldn't drive and called my wife crying. When I say crying I don't mean I am a baby this was a very bad pain and it scared me. Well I went straight to the doctor. Fortunately it was just a pulled muscle or something and it was hitting all the nerves or something. Well when the docotor done an EKG on me he was concerned and I had to go last week for a stress test. Luckily everything is ok. I have now been to the doctor twice in the past 15 years and it was all in the last two weeks. Well with all that I realized I spent too much time online and not with my kids. So I took a week away to spend some quality time with them and this is what I got:
Then fun at the neighbor's house with friends:
On another note I am in a rut at work and bored most of the time. By bored I mean I spend most of my time about 6 of the 8 hours daily at work online playing at DPC and other fun websites. On a good note I have a interview with a company for another job tomorrow at 2:30 so wish me luck with that.
Also what I am trying to say don't blink and take everything for granted you have cause it can be gone tomorrow. |

My non-0smoking Buddy:
I am so glad you checked out OK and that you have your priorities in line. A little break from DPC will do you and your family a world of good. Please do not be a complete stranger.

all the very best of luck with your interview rex :)
Those pics of your kids are fantastic, they look like they are having a fabulous time :)
Definately take care of your health. In 2000, i had a similar pain at the top on my right lung. It was so bad I couldnt breathe, couldnt wake up hubby to get help or anything. It eventually went and i went back to sleep. Out of a flook chance i decided to go to the dr the next day and get it checked (the pain was way worse than childbirth). They sent me for a scan only to find that i had a pulmonary embolism. I was rushed to hospital and there i stayed for 5 days. I had no idea the seriousness of a PE and it wasnt till i got home that it hit me. 1 in 6 die from them. Why was i spared? Some call it luck, I call it a reason. The reason was to spend more time with the kids and i feel heaps better emotionally and physically for it :) I do have a point and that is you never ever know when your time is up. Thank god yours wasnt and mine wasnt. Embrace your time with your kids. :)
Gee i can ramble ;)

Glad to hear you are ok and this is the best advice anyone can take away from this. Enjoy those moments. If you are yet to have kids remember that one sentence.
Also for my no smoking buddy BAMartin
The doctor wants to check my cholestorol(spelling) He says when people quit smoking that tends to rise so have it checked. My apointment is for August on that |

Well hey there Rex - I've been off and on and missed this thread. Funny thing about smoking - if it doesn't kill ya, quitting will. ;-)
Glad all is well and your girls are looking cute, happy, and a bit overdressed. :P
Keep smilin and good luck on the job! Let us know...
