Im thinking of starting a web site, not sure if i will yet but does anyone have a tutorial or a good link to a site that shows how to create a site, maybe with pre written code or something liek that, im not sure how to get it started,

what type of site are you wanting to start? a site to display photos with a lot of text or just photos or just text?
If its just a photo web site there are a few free programs that build all the html files and such for you. then you just upload the stuff to your server.
JAlbum is a free web albmu maker. its easy to use and free.

| You can also look for some pre-formatted templates on google. You can usually purchase them for less than $50. |

Or you could just find one that you like online, copy the source code and replace the images with your own! :p

| There are several other things to consider when starting a website. I'm not sure about your budget, but I felt like I should just point out a few additional things that you may or may not have already looked into. In addition to designing a site, you will also need to look into hosting, DNS, domain registration, and other fees associated with web startup. Some of the charges are annual, some are monthly. I design my sites with DreamWeaver and Flash MX which are probably more than you want to get into at present. I'm sorry I don't really have much input on other types of development software since I've never used them. |

I would recommend against doing this. It's true you can do this with some sites (I protect mine against this form of theft), but it is a form of stealing. Many people take web design very seriously in the same way photographers consider their images their own. I would not like someone copying one of my websites and re-using it anymore than I would someone copying one of my photos and selling it. This is THEFT no matter how you look at it. |

using view source to work out how something is done is one thing (thats how i learnt to webdesign - mostly because people used scripts from places like w3schools which i thank the gods for) but copying someone source to use as your own is copyright infringement not to meantion quite rude.
