I wanna know what goves Site council to edit, remove or delete a post that is NON-offensive??? and yet when a VALID complaint goes in to a post where I personally thought it was in distaste asked that it be moved to the rant instead of general discussion MY post in that forum was deleted??? Where's the justice???

it's not about justice. people were offering someone words of comfort and you took exception to it. even though i didn't report it, i found your post offensive and out of place. |

merely taking offense to someone's comments does not automatically mean the thread will be moved to the rant forum. YOUR comments, however, were much more offensive and, thus, were removed.
if the thread truly offends you, choose the "ignore thread" option from the dropdown list at the top of the page. then no one has to worry about it. |

It wasn't the thread that offened me tho it was something said in the thread that I took offence to. So let me get this right. You'll delete my comment about getting offended about a subject but you won't delete the offensive subject??? or move it to the rant page??? doesn't make sense B.

lol you know I very RARELY get pissoff or annoyed in life but I find SC is on a power trip lately and think it needs to be revamped.

if the subject is offensive to YOU, you can report the post and we can take it under advisement. a personal attack and public ranting post is really not the most effective way to get your message across to us.
besides... how is posting an additional offensive comment like your (which was way more out of line, in my opinion) a logical counter to an "offensive" comment?

This may be true...but adding fuel to the fire doesn't seem to work around here..put that energy into shooting or something constructive : ) (I am a hothead at times so I know where you are coming from) |

I sent you a PM when I hid your post. The comment you referred to might only offend you (and was more likely to be appreciated by others), but YOUR comment would have inevitably sparked a religous debate in a place it really didn't belong. It was hidden out of consideration for the subject. |

And I can understand that but SEEING that I'm online why not just PM me and ask me to edit it rather than take it upon yourselves to do??? I took offence to that post for a lot of reasons but not once did you edit or remove the other post (which only happened to be the top half). So I ask again. If this is a public forum then why edit it. Do I not have the right to have my voice heard without prejudice??? If it did spark a debate I surely wouldn't have gotten involved but you could have refered it to another thread started by YOU.

I'm not allow to be in possession of a weapon so shooting is out of the question. Besides no bad people around me right now. I am kidding. Something constructive is getting to the bottom of why ANY posts are edit, added or removed at the will of SC when it is a "PUBLIC" forum and I have broken NONE of the ToA?

Kevin, seriously, just close the browser window and play solitaire. No matter who's right or wrong, it's just not worth the aggravation.

Its not a question of right and wrong and I'm not at all pissed off about that particular post. What I am annoyed at is this isn't the first time SC has done this and its not going to be the last. I just get the feeling that this is a pick and choose relationship or censorship.

I did PM you, but I removed your post before other people could see it and start a flame war where it didn't belong. Trust me, the responses would have been far worse than the indignity of a hidden post. ;-)

The irony is that this started when you asked us to remove a post (that ONLY YOU found offensive). |

No it started WAY back when SC FIRST started deleting/hidding or removing my posts. Its just now come to a boil. I'm also not the only person to take offense to this just the only person to voice my opinon BECAUSE my post was deleted/hidden. This believe it or not is not just about todays post but more about since I've been enrolled here.

I didn't see whatever sparked this thread so I have no idea about that but in answer to your general questions, no, you don't have a right to post anything here. This is not a public area. It's a privately owned site that's run to the satisfaction of its owners. Freedom of speech doesn't apply in cases like this. Sorry. |

Actually it does. I am a paying member which makes it my right within the provisions of the ToA which I might add I have NOT broken. Therefore, it is also my right to post what I see fit based on the thread I am reading in response. Since Drew or Langdon haven't revoked my status and since I have NOT broken any TOA why isn't it my right???

Yes, except...
"4.2 You will not use the DPChallenge.com Service to post content that... (v) does or may denigrate or offend any ethnic, racial, gender, religious or other protected group."
It's a pretty safe bet that you would have offended a religious group, and that IS a violation of the ToS. |

So if I was a musslim (sorry if thats misspelled) and it offended me would that change the original post that I was offened by??? You just answered me but didn't do anything that offened my religion??? is that fair???
edit for typos &
Let this not spark a debate but show the injustice by SC.

If this rule was enforced there would be no forum.

You're not a group. What offends you personally wouldn't necessarily be removed, but generally offensive or derogatory posts may be. |

Shouldn't this be a conversation you should be having with Drew and/or Langdon? If you have a problem with the SC, perhaps you should talk to D&L.
