I'm right here.
That better be your address or what you've done is illegal. |

If I did what was legal I wouldn't be as well off as I am and supporting as many people/businesses as I am. Thats actually the best mental instuition in North America and its only illegal if I posted the postal code(zip code).

Summary
1. Someone got robbed and beaten on the job and was feeling bad, asked the community for sympathy.
2. Lots of sympathy was forthcoming, including...
3. A sympathy message that began with a quote from the bible, which prompted...
4. Another member to 'jack the thread potentially right off track by taking offense at the inclusion of a religious reference, which...
5. Prompted a fast-thinking SC to hide the potentially inflammatory message for humanitarian reasons (the OP didn't need to see his sympathy thread degenerate into a religious rant, and it would have completely destroyed the geunuinely sypmathetic tone of the thread), which led to...
6. All this...
My reaction: original poster had an awful thing happen. DPC community behaved very compassionately, except for one respondent who thinks his personal feelings about religion are relevant in this context. SC very wisely judged that they weren't, and directed that poster to start a "rant" if he wished. Everything that has come after is a waste of time & energy.
I'm 100% behind SC on this one, for whatever it's worth.

its worth nothing as is your opinion in this matter. Its closed. SC has understood what I was trying to convey so whats your point??? What your agreeing to is that no matter what SC should have the rights to edit, delete, remove or hide someones comments and I have a problem with dictatorship. Let a dead dog die and move on bear.

No worries, it IS notonline's address. ...but if that's the case, the notion that it's the "best..." is highly suspect.
Without the original context, I was almost on the side of notonline's original post. Glad I got the whole picture before I decided that notonline was outofline.
starting to rethink Mavrik's website feature request from last week...
Now enough wasted time on this.

this is the 3rd dumb thread I've read 2day. It must to start a dumb thread day at dpc.
Life's about choices, even those we think we make that dont feel like choices. I find this thread ridiculous for obvious reasons, at least to me. I am choosing to post & then I will choose to not return to dpc for the rest of the day. Perhaps the evening crowd will be a bit more mellow & less dramatic.
PEACE!

In a democracy, every citizen has a vote. In the USA not every citzen has a vote.
If we look at just the Presidential Election it's not the people that are voting for the president it's the 538 Electoral College voters that choose the president (only 270 are needed to pick a president). |
