Hi guys, I'm after some comments on the difference between both pics.

I know this is subtle, but I'm wondering whether I should stick with the original, or attempt to retreive some detail from the foreground (at the moment, 40% shadows in photoshop).

Do you think I have lost too much detail for it to be a worthwhile shot? Wish I had packed the grad filter!!

BTW, the mark in the upper right is actually a plane that I've chosen to leave in.

I like the bottom shot better. Might depend how you want to use it. On the web it looks fine but if you want to print it, the highlight / shadow tool sometimes adds a lot of noise to the pic if you push it too far and makes prints look kind of lousy.

I do like the adjusted one better though maybe a little less application of shadows (25-30% instead of 40). The extra detail adds context.
