Judging by a comment, people aren't "getting" my photo. (What else is new?) Titles can really be a nuisance.

Shoes exist to be on people's feet. Without some connection to a body, they seem like out of place props, thrown into some landscape to make a connection with the challenge.
The photos I'm rating high either tend to 1)Have feet, legs, people, or something in them to give the shoes a sense of purpose; or 2) Tell a STRONG story by themselves, so strong, that the shoes survive being disconnected from their people's feet.
I'm glad I scrapped my original idea of a pair of muddy work boots outside the doorstep, and instead went with something more human. |
Are you just trying to rally support for your interpretation to get a higher score?

Well not sure if others feel this was, but I just did a quick once over of all the entries and this is the first challege that I can honestly say that the Top 10 seem REALLY obvious to me. In fact I would even venture to say that the top 5 are easy to pick of this huge group and I'm even pretty sure that I can pick the blue.
So far all you that fall into one of these categories.. Congrats. Now lets just see if my predictions hold true!

FINALLY,--- someone not only commented , they actually understood what I was going for. Mine,actually has a story in it,if anyone will take the time to actually look at the elements in it. It wasn't just a snapshot, but the thing is, due to my screen showing me one thing and other people's showing them a lighter or darker version, the beauty of it may have gotten lost. I found if it's looking too dark, as I suspect it might, no one will notice the little extra inuendo ( spelled wrong probably) and if their monitor is showing it too light, it loses the mysterious appeal. So, I beggggg you all to go back and look alittle harder at everyone's entry, you may be missing something.
By the way, I am sure votes and comments will move up a little when I get through because due to my system for voting, I tendto give marks on the high side and I try to comment on lots of them. I am finishing D&L voting now.

| Not scoreing so hot right now, but is my first submission here so am seeing how picky people can be, What I submitted was in no way a serious effort, mor of an oppertune moment type thing, tried to keep it that way so wouldnt be like all the others...oh Well |
