I have an activity at the local dog shelter fund raiser this weekend. I have a painted scene of a dog and person with the heads left off. The dog and owner will stand behind the board with their heads in the scene. The idea is that the dog would be the person and the person would be the dog. It is a funny scene. I am looking for tips on getting good dog photos. I will be taking photos and printing them for the attendees. I have toys and treats, any other tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Might I suggest setting up the camera on a tripod and using a remote shutter release to make the whole business easier.

Scout out a good location to put the boards. The background may make or break the shots. |

I have a larger background painted. The scene is a canoe with a person and dog in it. they are about to go over a waterfall. So I have a background of a forest to use so that the scene all fits together.
Any ideas on how things to do to get good shots of the dogs? |
