OK, maybe I could do wedding photography. Our photographer at our wedding was SPECTACULAR!!! I just thought they were all of the same caliber!

No, but I certainly hope to be up to that quality one day!

As I've stated before, I'm of the opinion that as long as professional photographers insist on emphasizing the candid look, such as photo-journalistic wedding photography and contemporary outdoor "candids" for portraits, the need for professional photographers will continue to decline as the expectations of paying clients do the same. Those "professional" wedding and portrait photographers are literally turning the photography business over to the amateurs. (And there are plenty of other examples of less-than-stellar "professional" wedding and portrait photography on the web.)

With digital, it costs the amateur nothing to shoot and shoot and shoot. These days, the only major difference between the amateur and the professional is the number of shots they have to take to get a good one. It certainly isn't about equipment -- often times guests at a wedding will have equipment as good if not better than what the "professional" hired photographer is using.

Paul & Margie

My one and only wedding so far, they were pretty happy with me, this is a very small sampling of the shots I got and I just read the comments on the bottom for the first time, LOL :)

How much do you pay for cable a year? Is that commercial free?

Rex, why let one moron make you walk away from a community that you, in the most part enjoy? If you met an idiot on the train one day on the way to work you wouldn't decide never to take the train again would you? Just ignore it or, if you're feeling really strongly about it, report to SC and be done with it.

This all could have been avoided if everyone who thought they saw a post which violated the rules used the Report Post button instead of playing vigilante.
