I have the Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 EF IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens.....so anything but that....Is there a newer model of this lense?
I would love any/all sugestions :) |

Actually, yes... there is a newer model of this lens, just announced in August of this year.
Canon 70 - 300 mm F4.0 - F5.6 IS USM
This version features Canon's newer IS (up to 3-stops) and faster auto focus.

If you're outdoors in good light and can do without the 300mm end the 70-200 F/4L is a great lens for close in motorsports.. (I assume we're talking US dollars here)
What type of motorcycle racing are we talking about? Dirt or track?
These are with the 70-200 F/2.8 from track side. The F/4 will give you similar results in good light, with a slightly bigger DOF. (These are all at F/2.8).

I shot this using the Sigma 18-200 on my Canon Rebel XT. I have have found it more than adequate to do the job.

A bigger apperture is all about speed. If light gets down youll have more speed, and you'll need shutter speed in order to stop motion.
