I just got my new Nikon D50!! I wanted to try it out. Of course my daughter and step daughter were happy to pose. I think I did ok for my first time. (When I went to get the prints at Sams, the lady asked my for copyright release!! How do I prove I took them?) Anyway plese give insight. I like the sepia alot. The other seems a little "red". I'm not sure how to fix it. Please give feed back!!

I don't think I added the pictures right. They are on my portfolio.

or copy and paste the link.

How do I do it the right way?

Fixed links -- very nice. The warmth of the first is great, as are the tones of the sepia.

Very nice! - Excellent portraits. You're right about the first one looking a bit 'orange' though. You can fix that in PS. Do you use PS?

edit: Oh yea, to put the thumbnails in your post, type [thumb] and then the thumbnail number (that last number in the URL), and then [/thumb]

Use the last button on the top and only the image number -- not the URL.

I don't use PS yet. I did use Corel photopaint on the one with the hat to remove a blemish. That's all I know how to to. I use corel draw at work. I have a free copy of PS 5. I have not installed it yet. Also, a program called PictureProject came with my camera. I have not installed it yet either.

I like the first one very much. Warm color tone, nice pose and background is not intruding in the scene. The second one is more ordinary to me.
Enjoy your new toy.
