Holy cow! 778 and still 2 1/2 hours to go? It'll take a week just to see them all!!!!

Yup, and with that many entries how many of the voters are going to take the time to vote on all of the entries? My guess is that most people will only vote on the 20% minimum, which means that most of the voters are only going to see 1/5 of the entries.

Q: How can you select the best photos out of a batch of 800 when you only look at 160 of them?
A: You can't.

I will be voting on every entry and all will be done tomorrow. I plan on turning on the voicemail at the office and locking the door.

Yeah, this is going to be a real problem, I think. I'm sure that someone could throw some numbers at us with the point being that it all averages out somehow - but I'm unconvinced.

My voting record has been relatively poor (I've received about 2x as many votes as I've given) but I am going to try my darnedest to vote on everything, even if I can't do it all with the utmost care.

I tell ya, if you ever wanted to vote on a whole challenge, this would be the one. Approximately 800 photographers submitting their best work from a whole year's worth of pictures to choose from - why wouldn't you want to see them all! Regardless of who wins, this will be an incredible challenge to view, let alone vote on! I'm looking forward to it! They'll all get a vote from me! (especially if we have two weeks to do it in)

Only 4 entries topped 7 in the Best of 2004 challenge. :-(

Thanks for the drink, JP. Think that will go well with the high doses of cold medicine I'm taking? I'm trying hard to hand for the roll, but ugh I feel like hell! My BO2005 entry surprised me. There were several that I thought of right off, but after revewing ALL (27,000-ish shots), I came down to 2 shots. Then I let all of my friends decide and viola, an entry. Of ~800ish, I'm praying mine even gets noticed.
