For altitude, of course; the cam would be hooked up to a remote viewer and remotely triggered; great perspective on things.
We had a shooting platform on top of our van back in the day, wildly useful for landscape photography, but not that high of course.

yea, Kite photography is cool :)

Kite Aerial Photography - what a cool idea.
Rather than needing some remote control device, I wonder if it would work to just set the camera to time lapse and take a photo every minute or so. It wouldn't matter if you waste the first few until it gets off the ground properly.
Now to find a camera that is good enough to have the time lapse option, yet cheap enough to crash into the ground :-( |

Well, I was wondering if it was tall enough to look in directly on the Oval Office, but it appears that's on the ground floor. I suppose we'd have to settle for looking in on the bedrooms ...

| the idea is you hoist your camera up there with remote control software and a pan/tilt mechanism and take "low aerial" photography, seem sto be poular amongst proerpty developers etc. I just think it would be a lot of fun to get a whole new perspective on a place without the hassle or expense of helicopters etc |
