I want to wish this lady happy birthday in her own lang. and want it to say some thing like Happy birthday from D2's old man.
google's translator says "Feliz cumpleaños del viejo hombre de D2's"
She is the young one of the production line and I am the old man of the same line. I just want something more personlized than a dang old happy birthday card. Its funny watching me and her trying to communcate as I know very little spanish and she knows very little english. But we still are good friends none the less and want to show her that I am trying. |

okay this is a rough translation, but I think it says..what you want it to. Literal translastion is happy bithday of the one old friend of d2's. I am 99% sure that's what it says but she'll understand what it says. Whether its correct or not. see ya

My best go at it, since my spanish is über rusty:
``Feliz cumpleaños de parte del hombre viejo de D2''.
(literally: Happy brithday on behalf of the old man from D2).
Make sure you drop the apostrophe-s in any event, since ``D2's'' is equivalent to ``de D2'' (of D2).
Also, ``el cumpleaños del viejo hombre'' can also be read as ``the old man's birthday'' so I don't like that phrasing, but I wouldn't know how a native would phrase it. Hopefully somebody more authoritative will answer.

| Thanks all. *LOL* this I hope will make her even smile more. Seeing her on the line makes it fun. And the section of our line is not a very fun place to begin with. |

I am D2's old man. the D2 is the lines name that we work on and I am the oldest dude on the line |

If you are speaking to her , simply say " Feliz cumpleanos". (the n with the sqiggle thing over it.)
Now if you are prensenting the announcement via card or third party then you may want to make the distiction of the "old man".
"Feliz cumpleanos del viejo de D2."
