Web
I downloaded the 30 day trial today to mess around with. Very intuitive, very easy to use and understand and the results are really quite good.
Edits raw files too...actually does everything in RAW and saves an .lzn file of instructions.
The samples and tutorials do not show even close to the full potential of this software. Was getting dramatic results in less than half an hour just working on some sample images that had already been saved for web.

Guess not...
Well after experimenting with it for a day, I am impressed. But my impression doesn't really matter. |

Missed this yesterday ...
Got any examples to post? Before and afters? With a "this was sooooo much easier than xxxxshop"?
I may have to give a look-see in the meantime .... |

Right now no... I only installed it on my Tablet at the office. I will this weekend though. I plan on installing it at home to see how it handles RAW. It is very easy to use though. |

I ran across a review of this software and was intrigued, but the trial version crashes on my Mac (I keep getting out of memory errors). Don't know if its my system, but have gotten no response from the company. Too bad, because I like the idea/concept... |

Well in a fit of rage I dumped windows and installed Linux last week (well, I've been installing it all week).
The distro I got came with Gimp which is ok an all (I don't care what they say, it's no photoshop) and I was disapointed with it's RAW conversion. So I went hunting around for something better - with not much luck. Then I came across a site that pointed me to LightZone :) Better yet, LightZone is FREE for Linux users :)
It's going to take a little getting used ot as far as workflow and while it doesn't offer any effects that will win me any prizes on worth1000.com it seems like a pretty darn good program - definately the best I've seen for Linux so far.
I'll be letting you all know what it's like and you can see some examples soon since it's the best I've got now ;) |

Does anyone know how backwards-compatible this program is, in windows? I'm still running Windows Me and I can't find any information on supported versions in their website. Looks like a hell of an interesting tool. Looks like it would work very well to generate a TIFF to take to PS for more complex work.

I am running WinXP, but I set the LightZone shortcut to Windows 98/ME compatibility, which makes WinXP act like Win 98/ME for that program. Anyway it popped up an error while loading that says "Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2, or later required."
Sorry to say I don't think it will run on WinME. I would have really liked to hear your opinion of the program. :(
