Then again, as scalvert says, lowscoring challenges.Notice that it doesn't take THAT much above a 6 for top 10. (Tho' that's a chasm as wide as the Grand Canyon, as far as I'll ever be concerned!)

I haven't entered a photo in two years and I was worried about entering this time. I don't want to reveal my actual score for fear of jinxing it, but it is definately a personal best, with some wonderful comments! Thank you!! Gosh, dare I hope for a top 10?? My highest is 20th.

Well, it's better than my last two scores, anyway. Meh.
Honestly, I think a lot of folks are scoring low because the photos are generally nothing that conveys a sense of "new" without a title. Take the title away and how do we know? There also seems to be a lot of "fresh" substituting for "new" and while they're closely related they are different concepts. My highest scores were the ones who got "new" across without needing a title to back it up.
