I think I finally figured out the s-curve... LOL
Before, I had been trying to adjust contrast and then saturation. It seems the s-curve brings out the best of both. What do you think? Am I on the right track?

Btw, your color portrait enter scored waay too low, IMO.

| I have some examples of Curves in use including some screen shots ... you'll see that they are very versatile, and can be used for many things besides improving your photos ... : ) |

Yup, they make excellent parting gifts for those that didn't win challenges ;-)

Oh, wow! Wow, wow, WOW! I think I finally got it! :-) Thanks, Leroy!
Here's a shot I just tinkered with using curves. I did the Red, Green, and Blue separately, mostly enhancing the blue and red, and cutting down on the green.

Also, even though I'm really excited about this, if there's something you don't like about it, or have suggestions for improvements, please let me know. Hey, you may tell me something that I'll get even more excited about! (in a good way)
