Fine with me. Actually, it's nice of you to offer that. |

Just for clarification, we have to enter at least one challenge a week & vote on everyone's entries?
What's the final group?

This is the list so far. There's still room for two more to oin, but we can start with this. So, starting on monday and wednesday, we'll have 7 crits to do. Woohoo!
alexgarcia
blackenedwhite
margiemu
Gunnsi
Rooster
shaileshivyas
yanko
Below is the format in which i've had two crits from the critique club. i don't know if this is used for all the c.c. crits, but it's a good starting place. just things to consider on the crit. i think i'd also add exposure.
First Impression - the most important one:
Composition:
Subject:
Technical (Colour and light):
To grow its vote?:
Summary:
And, yes, one challenge a week at least, so we have something to crit! if we can post the image we want critiqued here, that'll make life easier for us all.

Sounds great. I'll have three eligible to be commented on this week. Heck I would have entered rhythm if it let me.
Btw, are we going to require photographer comments? I often forget to add those but I can once voting is over. I do find them helpful before critiquing a photo so maybe we should all do that?

i dunno. in some ways i like to look at it straight, in some ways it's good to get the artist's ideas as well. i'll go with the majority.

is it possible for on person to post all the pix from the prticipants in one post to make it easier for us to make sure we are critiquing all the pix?

I think we should set a minimum about not a max. At the very least, we should give one person an in depth critique on their shot. All else is gravy.

Ditto. Or to be fair have the photographer say which one they prefer a critique on.

What we did in our group was set all of our members as favorite photographers. That way we just go right down our list. |

Hi all: it seems I'm going to have communicational problems due to the local times of our places. When I can speak in the forum you are sleeping and viceversa, LOL.
Some things to say:
*In the first post the conditions were: "1) Comment on every photo that the other 9 photographers enter into a challenge, even if they enter two challenges weekly. Extra challenges would be voluntary." I think this is a good idea, so we will have to leave between 7 and 14 comments, depending on how many challenges members participate.
* It's a very good idea by xianart to post a structure for the comments. I think is this one the one I use. Only I preffer to talk of "To improve the photo" better than "To grow the vote" and exposure would be included in technical.
I don't think we all have to use the same structure, but to have an structure has helped me a lot to make better comments (I think). Anyway, I don't use all the categories in all my comments, but try to have as much as I can.

I agree with timythetoo, it's not so difficult to have faves (all of you are now in my list) and look at the last photo that have participated.
By the way, I'm the first photographer of the group!!!!!! OK, OK, it's just an alphabetical order question, but... LOL.

I believe I've added everyone to favorites.

I added everyone to my favs. With only 10 people to check, I don't think it's that hard to click on the links. I suppose we could be helpful and let people know what challenges we have entries in - I have one in the photojournalism and one in Cliche's this week.
I'm looking forward to this.
I may even look at them tonight. Since I'm on the West Coast, rollover is at 9pm for me. I can usually manage to stay up that late if I try really hard... |

Looks like we have 9. Is that it or were we shooting for 10?
Btw, shaileshivyas thanks for the comment. I'll start giving out mine tomorrow.

Sorry Shailesh, but I have no comment on my Photojournalism shot. MAybe you don't consider me of the group,...LOL!
Don't worry and ley it when you can.
Welcome, karmabreeze.
EDIT: Sorry, Shailesh, I've just seen your comment on my anterior shot in Something old. It's OK for me, no need to made another comment. By the way, nice comment. I don't use Dodge and burn, I use another technique based on selecting zones and applying levels (and sometimes hue/saturation) to that selected zones.

Ok, I have left comments on all of you that participated in the Photojournalism challenge. Hope they make sense.
I think that we can use this group not only to learn more photography, but also to improve our commenting. So I propose we can send PM to the commenter if we thing he/she can do it better in other way. In any case, if any of you think my comment can improve, please let me know.
