To those who dont understand digital cameras:
Just tell them you are using a new type of film that dont come in rolls.

To those who understand digital camera but a film die-hard:
Tell them to post-pone the debate for another 5 years (by then, most likely they will be a another KenRockwell-who-picked-up-a-D70 and has a 360 deg opinion on film vs digital)

All Truth Goes Through Three Stages

- First it is ridiculed
-Then it is violently opposed
- Finally, it is accepted as self-evident

Digital is the truth... lol

Tell them "You're right, it's much better to find out after the shoot that you've completely blown the highlights somehow and then have to reshoot.
06/22/2006 01:15:48 AM · #32
You can also tell them:
Hey did you know film tastes like licorice?
Laugh your butt off when they come back and say 'no it doesnt'

Ive done this.. and its quite hillarious when they realize the joke is on them..lol

Why should we trust you when you (of all people) know that some of us need to merely fine-tune our innate abilities?

Or that you'd rather spend that money (should you have it) on nicer glass or a better body.

Ask them how much they've spent on printing in the last year. Then just say 'wow...' and walk away.

Let me rephrase... "Trust no one"

...and to the guy who said film tastes like licorice, it is not that unbelievable - I just ate some several week old licorice that tastes like film.
