Judi thanks! If you're referring to my recent distinct textured flowers series, yes, there's a layers work behind of course, because of the many textures...otherwise all my other flowers shots have a classic post processing, except for the common use of curves, levels etc... ;)
In any case, I still don't know if I'll be able to find some interesting new flowers...we'll see! :)

Well, my computer rudely crashed this past week and I lost A LOT of pictures. But, I won't be doing anything until my computer comes back from Circuit City because 1) I have nowhere to upload my pictures to 2) No Photoshop. |

And now I'm off to find some budding, blossoming beauties... or something like that ;) |

Ok I'm not so torn up about flowers now. I have a very cool shot in mind and if I can pull it off before deadline it should end up in a very good placement. :)

You are absolutely, 100% correct with that statement! ;^) Guess that would round out the top three then? |

Unless I can come up with a picture of a "Martian Moon Lilly" in the next couple of days, I am steering clear of this one! |

I can't believe that we are more than 12 hours in to this challenge and there are only 3 entries.

Of course I will be entering!
Let me change my original message to: It is awful. I am SICK of looking at flowers BUT it has at least given me an idea to be creative and that is what I am going to do with it. You know the old saying - when life gives you lemons.......

First, let me say I am NOT a morning person. Any part of the day with single digits should be outlawed. But it's going to be a very hot day, so I was out at 8am shooting flowers. Yes, EIGHT AY EM! (and already sweating... oops, perspiring... ladies don't sweat ;) ) There's some incredible blossoms right now, both cultivated and wild, and in some interesting spots.
I wondered why I was having probs with the light, but decided that I'm just not used to shooting in such bright conditions. Soooo... I get home, load 'em in, and discover horrid noise everywhere. I check the cam and find that my dear daughter had used it last and set the ISO on 400. I almost NEVER use 400! That'll teach me to check, eh?
Ah well, I have a much more creative idea anyway, just thought I might fluke something special this morning.
This one's gonna be funnnnnnnnnnnnn! :D |

Where's the 'What is a flower?' thread? The challenge description doesn't include the definition.

Hmmm... that means we can take pictures of people because their name is Rose or Lily or Daisy? Or, say, a horse and claim that it really smells as sweet, tho' you call it a horse not a morning glory? ;)
Yes, I know, I'm being weird... that's cuz I'm up before noon... AND "glistening".

nah, but it does mean that all my May roses are dead and my poppy's are also shot. Actually I think I've managed to kill every flower I planted this year, so I'll have to go looking for flowers elsewhere. LOL. |
