Congratulations, nice lens! and yes your right the resale value is good. I had the 70-200mm f/4 L and sold it about eight months after purchase. I sold it on ebay and sold it for a slight loss. I think $30.00. |

I used that one on my 350D and it wasn't funny. And I was amazed to see how sharp everything was!!!
That's my next on my list. See how I negotiate with the wife for some funding (or how good the microstock is going LOL)

Dudes, I have only just started out with a 350d, I now have a couple of lenses and, my girl knows about everything, so far so good, but I am into gadgets so I guess she just expects it now!
I want a lens like this one....... v. jealous, I think I will wait 'till I am a bit more acomplished photographer before I take the plunge into L lenses....... I am still green with envy!! |

The key word here is "girlfriend".
If you two were to get married, suddenly "your" money will be "our" money which really means "her" money with enough left for you to buy a sandwich. |

LOL, yeah, sure... Just wait...
Any promises like that made while in the "girlfriend/boyfriend" stage cease to exist once the "I Do's" are uttered.

Congrats a a great lense, I love mine to bits. As mentioned elsewhere, the trouble is its like a bug, you realise how sharp a lense can be. I managed to last 3 months before I bought the 17-40mm F4 L to go with it.
Happy shooting matey! |

Hey, now! My husband hates all my hobbies...aquariums, photography, computer, etc. I am so the gadget gal! He actually doesn't hate them but has NO interest. I am happy to say that he cannot tell the difference between my 4 new lenses. Now, when I get the 70-200L I am thinking the color may tip him off. Then he'll think I have only 2 lenses, LOL! |

It interferes with more important things (to them) such as shoes, clothes, and jewelry :-)
