cool! enjoy and post some pics here when you can.
edit to say. keep track of how long the battery lasts on the first and second charge. I am curious because the D200 is a battery hog. But seems to be a little better after the initial first charge. I have alot of the features turned off mainly because I do not know what they do. But also to save battery life til I can afford some more batts

is it a vast improvement on your D70s as far as handling is concerned?

I just took it out of the box. It feels more sure, more stable. That's all I have done.
I am gonna charge a battery slap on a piece of glass and I will give you an eval and pics in a few hours or so. I just picked it up 30 mins ago. :-)

Well, mine is on order and been told that stock arrives tomorrow and delivery should be Friday. However - and there is always a however it seems - I did order the 18 - 135 mm kit lens (I have no glass other than old Minolta MD glass) and I have been warned that the 18 - 135 is going to be shipped about 2 weeks after the body and the body + 18-70mm kit lens. I guess I will have to wait to find out...
Got a good deal, though :-)
On a side note, when I eventually get the kit it puts me back to where I left off with my SLR days, when I had a Minolta body and a Vivitar 28-200 lens. What goes around... |
