Let me suggest to everyone that you put what you learned in the description for each shot. I'm going to try to do that. That'll help people looking at these later.
Also, great idea, Judi of linking from one shot to the next. That makes reviewing them all much easier! |

I intentionally made the first one really crappy so it would look like I've learned something over the month. (Hey, it's a good excuse, isn't it?!)
Okay okay, it's a superquicky after work, since I have catching up to do...
Day 1.. My best side
and a catch-up, Day 2

This is as good as it gets for me today - I am beat.
This was from the San Diego Digital Photoclub Get together this morn (8:30-12:30). Then I shot a Dedication for a friend at her church in the afternoon (1:30-3:30). |
Sorry for bringing myself to the top, but just wanted to share the group behind me in the self port.
This is a typical turn out, +/- a couple, for a San Diego dSLR Photo Club monthly shoot. There are no rules or competitions, just a bunch of people that like to take pics converging in the same place once a month. Young (the two young lads in the front have D70's) and Old run around shoot everything in site. We shoot for a few hours in the morn, then a bunch do lunch. Finally we go home and post our shots up on the web and compare notes.
If you are fortunate enough to have such a group as this in your area, hit em up. They are fun and informative. Teach and be taught. Amatuers hanging with peeps who do this for a living...
I know of two spin off groups that have started by members that relocated from SD (or travel down to take part of the SDdSLR group shoots). One all the way over in Hampton Roads Virginia, another just starting in the Riverside California area. Another will start soon somewhere in Colorado (don't know where the guy moved to up there).
Personally I like em cause they get me out of the house.... |

Coolness, here's the link to the siteSan Diego dSLR Photogroup if you lurk about the homepage you can find out when/where the shoots are going to be... we are getting authorization to take photos on the trolley system for the November shoot... We are going to ride around a shoot a day in the life of the trolley.

Forgot the part about waiting 30 minutes 3 hours after eating - you owe me a Machaca Burrito dude.
I'll clean up the keyboard. |

All right fellas....I'm just starting out here on DPC and in photography in general(more like just playing with my camera really). I haven't really been inspired to try out any of the challenges that I've seen yet. I saw this in the threads and thought this might be a kind of fun way to get my feet wet. Any comments are appreciated...even......cough cough..uh huh.."any rough ones".
I'm not really sure I can keep this up for a whole 30 days but here is the link to the first 5 I'm going to submit. These were all taken today. The one with the right side of my face with the helmet on...I really liked this one the best. Mostly because it was a mistake. I had taken some pics on the range with my zoom and then tried to take a picture of myself on the firing line. I forgot it was zoomed and that is what I got.
My first 5 SPs
Thanks,
Aaron |

Aaron....see if you can find somewhere else that you can store your images as people cannot view or comment on them at Snapfish unless they join as a member. Unless I am viewing the wrong screen that is. |
