Just so I'm clear, what constitutes "Marta's Transit System"? If y'all have some guidelines on what to steer clear of I'd appreciate it. Something like "anything with their logo" or "anything sitting on the Garson deck" or whathaveyou.

I'm sure they probably mean the trains, tracks and any signs relating to MARTA. I don't think the stuff on the parking deck is part of that, at least I hope not 'cause I was shooting all kinds of stuff last time.
You can't really see the tracks or the train for that matter at night anyways, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.
Have you not been to the Parking deck with us before Kevin?

The way I understand it, and what we have procticed in the past, is nothing to do with the transit itself. Like Jen said, no trains, no signs, no busses, no signs. Shooting us on the deck has never been a problem, and where we shoot is out of the way of the trains for the most part. If MARTAs finest rolls by, just point toward the skyline to be safe.

Just in case anyone needs this, here is link to Mappoint getting from the Centennial Park to the Jackson st. Bridge. There are other ways (and probably better ways) but this is what it came up with.

And here is one from CNN Center to Jackson St. Bridge. With all the one way streets, it might be a little difficult to navigate if you're not familiar with downtown.

Again, there are probably better ways, but at least you can look at the map of the area and see for yourself which way you may want to take.
On both of these once you get to Highland and Jackson you can make a left onto Jackson and find a place to park on the street.
I'll try to see if I can come up with a map to Garson Parking deck, unless one of you guys familiar wants to post easy directions from Centennial I guess.

Okay, so here is what Mappoint came up with to get to the parking deck. This is the Freeway route which I know is different from how we usually get there, but I don't know the names of the streets going Eric's way. :)
From Centennial to Garson Parking Deck
Once you get to Lindbergh you'll make a left and follow that around to the Garson Parking deck then go all the way up to the top. I'm sure we'll try to carpool as much as possible and follow eachother but just in case someone gets seperated at least there's this.

| I was gonna ask if we were going to car pool like we did last time. I'll be leaving Augusta about 4 this afternoon. That should put me in Atlanta by about 6. It's the same time I left last time. I've got Rex's and Jen's cell #s. So I'll give you peeps a ring when I get there. |

We can fit 2, MAYBE 3 if they're small:), extra in our truck too. I was planning on carpooling some folks if they don't mind squeezing into the back seat. ;-)

My truck bed can fit about 7+ also. Should be a pretty night if anyone wants to ride back there.

Silly me...I shoulda done a better job of logistics... my wife & I are checked into the westin, but now we kinda need to talk to someone about car pool, etc.
We will be bringing all our gear to the cnn center (we can see it from our room lol).
could someone / anyone call me? will edit for phone number after someone calls, so if the # is gone, you dont have to call..

Just walked in the door and logged on. I'm downloading 'em. What a lot of fun. KevinG sorry 'bout that one-way deal. I knew something was wrong when the guy in front of me stopped as he was confronted with cars coming at him in all lanes.

I had a great time - especially trying to follow Kevin around atlanta as he swerves across 3 lanes at a time, slams on brakes, guns it the opposite way down one way streets, battles for traffic position seconds before impacting guard rales at 50 mph at the peidmont exit...
Just kidding Kevin - it was the most fun I've had since six flags.
