Eug - where's the shot that you're using as your profile picture?

Nice work again James. I notice that with a good percentage of your portraits your eyes are just slightly off looking directly at the camera. This is great and has given all your shots a distinctive style. Keep them coming!

This is due to my "lazy eye". My left eye tends to pull to the middle a bit. I try to get the shots to where is doesn't show that much without processing corrections. Thanks for the nice comment

No apologies needed. I have had it since I was a wee little fella. Doesn't bother me. It did when I was young because I had to deal with the rude kids. I know you were not being rude. Thanks for the concern. Besides, it does give me a distinct style.

Just to explain what I am talking about. Here is a picture of what it looks like when I look directly at the lens.

It is not that bad but it does make the lighting reflect different. I don't have an issue with my imperfections and don't mind sharing them with this group of people.

I thought I'd seen it before, just didn't know where. Really like the high contrast version a lot!

Thanks. I'm very pleased with it too. I have another High Contrast B&W coming up that I just did today, but you'll have to wait until I come back from Rochester on Sunday. ;)

That's why I rarely look at the camera myself... especially with my glasses off. If I want the gaze to look convincing, I actually have to look at something off to the side of the camera.

Is that better Leroy??
