Well, I finally "bit the bullet" and formally signed up as a ligitimate DPC member. Woo-who!

I've been a registered user since January, but didn't start submitting to challenges until mid-August. I simply didn't have the time. Anyway, my average has been 5.34 for my first five challenges, and I plan on raising that a bit--it's one of my goals.

I started out years ago developing B&W film from SLRs (an Olympus OM-1 and a Canon AV-1). For digitals, I started with many different point-and-shoots over the years, finally ending up with a Canon Powershot S2 IS. I sold that piece of equipment a few weeks ago and bought a Pentax K100D.

As a new member, the first thing I did was to populate my DPC portfolio. So if you get a chance, please check it out and as usual, comments are appreciated!

p.s. Is there a forum just to discuss member-only features? (e.g. issues with uploading and managing my uploads).

Congrats for your membership! I'm a new member too. I'll check you stuff man I'm interesting to see the performance of the Pentax K100D.

Most of my photos so far were with my previous camera. However, here's my first DPC upload from my Pentax K100D...

Members' icons have "blue shirts" - registered users show up with "gray shirts".
