I'm gonna label all mine as "nude" - definitely has helped with the views on one of mine, but not necessarily the comments. :-)

I did notice that JP was labeling most of his as "nude", at least in the beginning. Even though he had on his black socks and everything.

Includes all outtakes and alternate crops. Thought about applying the 1.6 factor, too. :-)

Day 21.

This is where my mood has really been for the last 8 days. I've been distracting myself with my studio work, but sometimes, when we least expect it, our emotions take over and we break down.

Heh! Turn off the "Nude" gallery selection and views will come to a screeching halt. For which I am rather grateful, actually. Not all that comfortable with the perv factor.

"What I want to know is - did you tweak your ear? At this angle it looks pointy, which to me adds to the magic reference in your title!"

No, those are my naturally pointy ears. :) You can sort of see a similar view here. The fact that the framing cuts off the top of the ear adds to the pointiness I guess. Just call me Elf-boy.

Comment by Jutilda:
CUTE. But a true hippy doesn't wear polish on toes. (or shave legs) ha ha ha Love the perspective. I feel like I'm looking under a dressing room door!

LoL guess i'm graduating from hippie to woman!! woo-hoo. Nail polish wearing is new for me and sadly so is shaving. lol but I did it yesterday so we're good I guess. all part of growing up. I should have uploaded pictures of my yogurt and granola lunch and my kitty posse of neighborhood cats that run to me every time I emerge from the door. those would help the hippie feel I think.

ok. here ya go...

I need a little help. I made a reflector yesterday out of cardboard and aluminum foil. But I can't get a decent reflection. How should I set it up or whatnot. Right now, I have it laying on the floor, angled up toward me with my 100W light pointing at the angle part.

And I moved from the ordinary bulbs to the reveal bulbs...good idea?

I'm not an expert but i bet reveal bulbs instead of regular may help or yellow cast issue a lot. and as far as the board. are you sure its not working? it may be subtle by looking but will make a difference in the photo.

wanted to add maybe get the board closer to you for a more dramatic effect

You can try using lots of chairs - one for you to sit in, one to set the reflector on at an angle pointing to you, maybe to your right and little in front of you, and one across from the reflector to put the lamp. You oughta see the room I attempt to shoot in... Folding chairs from Costco can come in very handy sometimes.

I guess the problem lies with the fact that I have to leave it on the floor. I just don't have anything to hold it up.I really wish I had things I could use to to set up my lighting. I have to set my bucket/light with a 60W on the dog kennel in my bedroom, then I attach my 100W clamp light to my extra tripod. Then the reflector has to lay on the floor and not be used. And when I do this, I can't focus my camera, because I don't have the tripod to set in there. If I use the tripod to focus, then I have to lay the clamp light on the floor.

I have 1 chair in the house, and it's the blue and yellow folding one that y'all saw in one of my SPs.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR learning sucks when you can't implement.

I'd send you my chairs since I'm just gonna stick 'em in storage, but it'd cost more to ship them than they're worth, I figure.

Hang in there. In fact, hang the reflector - can you do that? Hang it on the wall somehow? And I use empty kitty litter buckets as focusing objects... you've got some of those, right?
