Spam. Yum. The Hormel people must be laughing into their pork with ham, mechanically separated chicken, water, salt, modified potato starch, sugar, sodium phosphates, potassium chloride, sodium ascorbate and sodium nitrate SPAM Lite.
So why do I like the stuff? Broiled, baked, fried, chopped cold and mixed with mayo and other unmentionables (pickles, olives - green or black) to serve on crackers to unsuspecting guests, and ad nauseum.
Even when my Spam folder overflows, my mouth says, "go get me some Spam to eat!"
Hmmm. Is this a Rant?

Yes, I was well aware of that fact, which is why I didn't ask her to shut up after 2 minutes. I get that she's trying to make an effort here, but the history is ugly. Before she would give my dad a divorce 2 years ago she demanded a huge sum of money. Didn't win a settlement in the courts, she litterally refused to sign a non-contested divorce agreement until he wrote her a big check. Now the money is gone & she's back. I'm not stupid. You could have probably ended the photography session by critiqueing the pictures. "Well that one's nice, but the composition is way off. Look at those blown highlights...".
My exwife pulled something similar during our divorce. We had everything worked out (or so I thought) until she demanded money. To protect my 401k I let her have the house and lots of other stuff. If we went to court the 401k and everything would have been split, according to my lawyer. So I took the hit and paid the money to protect my retirement. I am so ready to go on a rant right now! |

You have a standing invitation, dear: I told you that. Show up at my door and listen to my heart race for joy. As for working in TIFF, you don't want to. You want to work in PSD. And the reason you want to work in PSD (this applies to TIFF also) is that you can save your working image with all its layers intact, so it's much more flexible. JPG doesn't support layers. Not to mention avoiding compression each time you save...

Count me in the "guilty secret" camp of those who have a secret love of Spam-the-Food. I don't eat it very often at all (every couple years I score a can) but it DOES take me back to my semi-carefree youth when I wandered the country in my VW van with a box of Spam and some loaves of bread :-)

Ok here are some rant:
1. I hate people who park their cars right on a no parking sign because the nearest "legal" place i s unavaiable and they think there's no consequences because it's just for a minute. (just for a minute? how dop you know the cashiers is not in training and there are 12 people waiting to pay while she finds the "2" on the cash)
2. I hate people who get to a stop slightly after you (so you have priority) but use the facts that the car on their side was at the stop slightly before you (so he have priority) to pick the spot.
3. I hate cyclist that think the second they wear a helemet they have the right to run in whatever lane they want to, not make any stop or don't stop at the light.
4. I hate it when group of people that travels together in two or more cars take the time to chat a little after having paid their gas while you wait to put some yourself.
ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!

Something about family ticking ya off just makes you want to rant:
A few years back my brother and his fiancee moved back to MN. They were pretty much broke so my wife and I let them stay at our house till they got back on thier feet. After a few months after they settled in, my wife's sister (Realitor) found this great starter townhouse for them at a rock bottom price, just needed a little work to get it back to nice. My wife and I helped them with tile, carpet, drywall work, and paint. My brothers fiancee says they are hoping to get married in Sept in Vegas (it was May at the time.) So my wife worked out the details, she flew to Vegas that August to get everything ready, she has relatives that live in Vegas, and has the summer off (Teacher.)
So everything is set, being that my brother and fiancee were straped for cash my wife agreed she would put the expenses of the wedding on her card, and they would pay us back in monthly installments. Well a day before we are supposed to all fly out there (wife had gotten 4 tickets for the same flight round trip) my wife called my brother, seems they flew out to LA a day before and were driving up to Vegas. They had given their tickets to their friends Lonnie and Candi (who they just met 3 months prior.) We get to Vegas, and get to the hotel. Well here we find out the wedding party that was supposed to be my brothers fiancee's two sisters, my youngest brother and I, now added Candi and Lonnie. Needless to say my wife was pissed, not only did she set up everything (they just needed to show with a wedding dress) and fronted the bill. I did voice my opinion when I found out about the 'added party' asking if they considered my wifes feeling on it. I was told, they wanted to add just Lonnie, but had to add Candi, because she was married to Lonnie.
That caused a rift between us and still does to this day. They did pay off the amount borrowed after 2 1/2 years (much longer than agreed upon.) Even to this day you can't make any plans that included them without some drastic change, or something else comes up. |

| I think Gents should be modified to have bowls hanging on the walls instead of urinals. This way, no splashbacks... but I think they have gotta put up signs to stop people from actually sitting on the wall-mounted ones. |
