i didn't know what to expect from this. it's my first member challenge so we'll see.
i have one for centered and i'm thinking about procastination. my fiance' suggests i take a picture of the dishes, the bathroom and the trash for it...

| I'm stuck trying to decide between two entries for Fences. One is OOB, OOF, OS and some will say DNMC but I love it!I really love it! The other from the same shoot is...well....safe. Oh what to do ....what to do... |

go with what you love. the great thing is that you can learn a lot from getting trashed in the comments. when you get better you can look back at the morons who hit you with a DNMC and laugh as your scores rise.

my entry for centered is not the best picture i've taken this week ( and i've taken a lot ).
i've recently gotten into street photography and my "centered" is from that collection of shots.
i could easily enter some architectural shots and get higher scores but then i wont learn anything and wont care about what i'm doing.
good luck with your shot. even if you don't get the score you're looking for, figure out where you could have improved it and get a better score next time.

| Chris I'm looking forward to seeing some of your street photography shots, I find street photography scary but I ended up enjoying my first attempt on New Years, although the photos were shockers LOL. It's a syle of photography that I love but it sure doesn't come easy to me, I'll be a regular visitor to your folio to learn all I can, "A Slow Lonely Death" is a wonderful shot, you have an eye for it. |

I just entered fences. we will see if it does better then my free study which started at 3 and has risen to a lofty 4.19
my 12 days is at 4.9 so hopefuly it will come in between them |

Wow. I'm shocked by my Patterns entry, which has completely defied my expectations.
Not only did it score over 5, but it scored enough over five to make my front page change. The comments that I expected to get were the ones that I got, though only a few mentioned the really soft focus. The biggy was the crop at the top. I would have loved advanced editing for this challenge, I would have cloaned out the distractions at the top. Lots of people suggested to just crop out the sky, but I tried it and it just didn't work for me - the balance of the photo was all off.
The key point to this entry though, was to enter using my mobile phone camera. And that I did. I now, at least for a small amount of time, am the number one photographer using the k800i. This amuses me greatly.
