Just go thru the top 30 of the Best of 2005....some genuine classics in there....

Just a quick dumb question. I know that our usual requirement is the pristine unedited original from our camera. However, the picture I am submitting is from before I even knew about this site. I am pretty sure I didn't do anything to it and that what I have copied to my HDD is what came off the camera but... what if something indicates that it isn't? I mean mine isn't going to make the top 5 but what if someone requests validation on it?

If I do that it'll make me want to pull my entry. Btw, I'm surprised we have yet to top 700 entries. Last year we got 829 and one would think we'd have more members now. |

Who doesn't wake up to see out their window a sky filled with balloons on a misty morning? Or avoid the wildebeest crossings on the way to work? Or take a glowing ring on the weekends to be melted at Mordor? I mean people lets get creative here! :P |

After the way so many people got beat up on the B&W portrait, I almost didn't submit. It is just my guess as to why there aren't more entries.
There is also that fear factor, cause, everyone knows that there are just going to be some really awesome images that yours is going to be compared to.

| Perhaps I should've cropped a bit off the top of mine - but too late now, of course. Very difficult to choose a picture to enter. |
