Congrats, Chris! Please add the story behind the shot to your comments. You can edit them after the challenge just like you can edit any other photographer comments.
I just went through a slew of team suck entries in best of 2006 and oh, my. It reminded me why I so love DPC and this group. What an amazing set of images.
I also now feel much better with the 5.8 on my own shot; I'm in terrific company! :)

I have 4. something on minimalism and maximalism with an uppercase DNMC on the latter - must be doing something right...

Yeesh, I see what you mean, Jeb, about tonight's scores. I thought I had a 6+ shot in minimalism and a 5 for a goofball shot in fill the frame. I think there are some harsher-than-usual voters out tonight, and they're not talking about what they hate so much. I haven't seen an average score below 4 at any point in voting since trains, I think.

Oh dear. I just looked at the competition in minimalism. I predict a low score now for my entry that I thought was going to be right up there. oops!
Well done to everyone who was in best of 2006. The field was great and I reckon more than a few potential winners were just drowned out. |

A huge congrats to Svetlana  silverfoxx for her 6.7877 and top 50 placement in Best of 2006! I think Svetlana definitely should have to comment on everyone else's photos for that degree of non-suck :-)
I also noticed that meyers and alans_world had plus 6 scores...
I'll look forward to seeing a few of the photos that Team Suck considered but did not enter in Best Of. There were a lot of exceptional photos out there, and plenty from Team Suck that were underrated, I think.
Sickdog that is the coolest news agout the CD cover! Congrats, congrats, congrats! Can't wait to see the photo! |

Don't you hate that? Who gives an average vote of 3.3 anyway? I've gotten some harsh comments, such as "lame" and "low quality" on previous photos. Ignore these jokers! They aren't helpful, and you're a wonderful photographer, Bob. |

I'm thinkin' I just got that same, um.......*PERSON*, did that sound like a slur, who did the exact same thing to me.
Looked over the stats and from the ratios to helpfuls given/received, it seems like his biggest disappointment in life is himself.
I'd hate to go through life being miserable.
Mine was in Fill.
I also got another bad comment from someone else who seems to be in Cheerios-land.
What's up with the nastiness?
I looked at my average vote cast....5.6937, almost a full point over received.
I even think I've gotten more critical lately since voting more and having a better grasp on what's good and what isn't.
I still always look for the positive in voting.
So what is the average Team Suck vote cast?
It seems by and large that we're nice people.
