I want to thank everyone for the really nice comments for my tulip pictures. I'm not a flower person but I did know those were tulips. My wife is trying to train me. After 26 years of marriage, I don't know if I'm trainable anymore.

i have six comments for this picture and they all have that same feel to them. in this case they're all talking about content. one of them tells me thats it's technically a really good shot but the subject matter is bad.

But I have to ask, is that some weird emoticon, or did the commenter say it was just plain horrible and give you an 8?

And an oh by the way, does anyone have a bunch of comments from "no camera" folks who just joined the site yesterday? I have five (5) on one entry alone. Just seems a bit odd to me.

my Fill picture is jumping all over the place. it started out at 6 and then took a nose dive an hour later to 4.7.

Excellent! Kind of like the pact I have with my brother. If we ever catch the other one driving a Cadillac, it will be a mercy killing kind of thing.

Though the older I get, the less icky Volvos get. Still icky enough, though.

For the European gang (and possibly the other side of the pond gang as well) - has anyone been to Venice during Carnivale?

ok, svetlana, i finally see what you mean about the triangle thing. um, even if you do manage to creae a triangular canvas in PS, i think you'll still end up wtih a rectangular space on DPC.

my fiance' and i both want to go to europe but thats not going to be happening soon enough for either of us.

we are going to Mardu Gras next month so i'm hoping for a fitting challenge around that time...

a challenge about breasts or vomit covered streets perhaps.

Schnee!! We have schnee! (Snow) As for Venice, there's an organized trip going that involves long bus rides at night which aren't my forte, but I'm quite tempted. It's rather costly. But hey, I ain't gettin' any younger and I can't take it with me, so I may as well spend it on frivolous things like trips to Venice, yes?

It's abrupt. So whilst not actually rude, it's not particularly polite either. It is, however, true. Which annoys me a tad as I, yet again, overlooked something obvious that will cost me points.

I was expecting a mid 4 score on my Minimalism. I really like the shot, but it needed just a bit of tweaking, which of course could not be done. The first time I checked this morning it was at 5.2, and I was thrilled. It dropped to 5.1 and then I was gone for several hours. Thought I would check and find it had continued dropping, but as of now:

I don't like to check scores this early as they fluctuate so much. Perhaps tomorrow I will take a look. At the moment it looks like being a low for minimalism, and ok for FF.

i hate it when they're true. actually that isn't true. i actually appreciate a comment, however abrasive it might seem, when it's true. it stings a bit to get one but it also helps me grow.

as i'm sure you all can tell by now, i have the day off and am walking back and forth between my computer and my PS2.

i just don't feel like doing anything else today.
