I am a great believer in learning a lesson. todays lesson is "know your limitations"
I will not partake in nude photography again. I am sure to get a brown ribbon for my pitiful effort. I am not upset but knew that i should have pulled this shot on sunday night.
I got caught up in editing my rugby shots and forgot, checked the socres this morning and got a rightfull pasting so far. |
I gotta go along with this myself.
I'm getting the shellacking I thoroughly deserve in Minimalism.
It's a poor shot, a poor attempt to meet the challenge, and to be honest, I'm not really sure that I have a really good grasp on the concept......if what I believe the intent is true, then I have to wonder why I submitted the entry I did.
I get caught up in the momentum sometimes when I'm on a roll.
My FtF ain't the greatest, either, though at least I like that one.

I'd like to congratulate you too, Catherine, and point out to the group that it's apparent to me that this learning and support thing seems to work across the board......all of her shots on her front page have been within the past month.
It must be that Team Suck support and influence, eh?

I had too much trouble posting these thumbnails in Team Suck Forum, so I am putting them up here. These are the photos I entered in the Loxahatchee Nat. Wildlife Refuge annual photography contest. I put one in each of five categories. The judging will be next Sunday. I wouldn't mind having the opinion of my suckmates here if you have time.
The hawk has been on DPC for a while, and some of you have already commented, but the others were just uploaded tonight.
Red Shouldered Hawk - category: Special Technique
Elderberry Blossom - category: Plants
White Ibis in Cypress - category: Animal
Eastern Lubber Grasshopper - category: Close-up
Gulf Fritillary Butterfly - category: Scenic |

Thanks, guys, I'm tickled pink!!
Interesting thing - I got up this morning, fired up the internet, checked the boards, then the connection died. Not uncommon - usually pops right back up after a minute or so. DIDN'T COME BACK UP!! Died at 0558, no less, with rollover at 0600 here. So I didn't get to see all of this until I got to work! |

THIS WEEK'S RESULTS
The Butterflies are back.
BLUE======Butterflies=====6.274666667
RED=======The Hoovers=====6.1511
YELLOW====The OOFers======6.122333333
s.q.======Team Minus======6.065033333
i.p.======Team Novice=====5.981166667
BROWN=====Team Entropy====5.886133333
just lookie there, four teams averaging over 6!
And now the punishments... I mean rewards...
Butterflies must vote on the winners of OOBIEs and YAPPIEs as prescribed by quiet_observation
Believe it or not, the Momentary Laps of Suckage Award does not go to Melethia, but to silverfoxx!! She is to comment on our challenge entries to the best of her abilities.
Melethia should not think that she can get away with winning a ribbon, however. She must now write a poem about the color yellow.

I have to say that's a pretty non-sucky score board.
A poem? Moi? Nay, nay, mon capitan. I shall leave the poetry to you and our incredibly talented Svetlana. I expound, I ponder, I most definitely ramble, but I cannot rhyme, meter or verse. |
