Very interesting. As expensive as these lenses are, when you look at the whole process, you have to wonder how the lenses can cost so little.
It might have been just for the creation of this video, but other than the finger tip protectors the one assembler was wearing, none of the other people had gloves or hair nets or anything. But then, they might not hire anyone that has skin oil or lose hair that would fall into the units as they were being assembled. :D

that was very interesting, i had no idea they got that big! Im newish to DSLR's so that came as a shock to me, are there any that are bigger than that one?? |

Notice they left out the parts in the video where the hammers are used when stuff doesn't fit quite right....

this makes me want to take apart a lens and check out all the pieces...and put it back together again...of course I'd probably end up with a couple left over pieces |

To take it apart and put it back together you have to have those special white nylon cookie cutter tools they use. And you have to use aquarium silicon to seal them back up so they don't leak too.
