Good. I think it helps to remember that stuff that is inventive, clever and cool to you is probably completely different to the stuff that people will score highly on here. I always try to remember why I am taking the photo in the first place, and it's more for my own smug sense of satisifaction than to get a high score. The score is just a bonus if it does well.

So it dumped about eight inches of snow here yesterday, turned to sleet at nightfall, did the sleet thing all night long, at 7:30 it's RAINING, and it's supposed to rain throughout the morning before turning back into snow for the rest of the day.

We got less than an inch of snow, all sleet after that. Right now my windows are being pelted with ice balls. Sounds creepy! No school for the kiddies here today. It looks like a skating rink out there.

Germany has been unusually warm this winter, from what I understand. No schnee at all here. I was kind of looking forward to seeing a little schnee, too. Still a chance to get some, I suppose, and there's always next year.

Anyone else kinda depressed over the choices for the open challenges this time? I'm pretty sure I won't do either one. Didn't enter this week's open challenge, either. Must be a slump.... I am shooting for the Street challenge, though!

I'm fairly certain I won't be in "Street". No where to go. People don't hang out on the streets around here. LOL. I could take the train into Philly, but it's too damn cold. The malls would throw me out if I came in with a camera. Oh well.

Most of my shots from now on will probably have to be inside until spring arives. The schnee keeps coming and the wind keeps blowing and the temperature keeps dropping. I'm SICK of schnee.

I couldn't agree more. It seems like DPC has been on a tangent recently. I'd like to see a couple of good old basic challenges.

It was interesting, actually - I find it difficult to critique and comment. People who know me would be shocked - I generslly am not hesitant to offer opinions. But in a way, commenting on other people's pictures is putting yourself out there the way posting your pictures is. Maybe even, I don't understand why - more so. I put my photos up, and generally can accept the comments people make without feeling vulnerable (except for the profound "D+" someone kindly left me on my Biology - that one really p***ed me off! Talk about not helpful...). But making comments is revealing, isn't it? Leaving a comment with some substance to it really shows what you know or what you feel.

Hey - How do I get a Team Minus and Team Suck logo for my profile??????? Or am I still on probation? :-)
