The first statement you need a fruit than the second statement you need a veggie so the third statement sum up what you need and the last statment said how many items do you need!
What does few mean? An indefinitely small number of items.

That is why I wrote alot of DNMC by way the I delete the DNMC and I up the score too. I was in the minority. Their were shots of both items of veggie and fruit in the last statement of the challenge!

i seriously doubt this.

you intentionally submit photos that you think are bad enough to get the brown. and you purposefully misread the challenge description ...

if you speak english, then you know that fruit & veges is a common idiom for that particular group of food. if the challenge said 'cats & dogs', would you honestly think you had to have both (unless otherwise stated)?? no ...

shenanigans!!

You guys miss the point again. What does few mean? more than one item.

you miss a lot of things mate ...

from the challenge:

photograph as few or as many as you like.

i don't believe you when you say that means a minimum of 3 items. you understand the lexicon as well as i do and you know what this means.

idiomatically, you know that it means there's no minimum or maximum to how much fruit OR vegetable (or portions of) that you use in your challenge entry.

the sad thing is that you're paying good money to come last as often as possible and get berated for misunderstanding challenges ... that's quite sad indeed.

This has been so much fun :) really.
Description gives three options imho, or four if you like.

1. Photograph a fruit.
>A< here indicates one fruit, singular.

2. Photograph a vegetable.
Same thing, just vegetable.

3. Photograph a fruit and a vegetable.
Still singular, but one of each.

4. Photograph as few or as many as you like.
Lots or few of both or just one. >OR< means that we do as we like, one fruit or one veggie or many fruits or many veggies.

I write this because one of the comments I got keeps changing :) I used one single fruit and therefore I have sinned. :) Please notice the many smileys, they indicate my good mood.

Really, I feel that "4. Photograph as few or as many as you like." would be correctly interpreted as relating to only fruits that you actually like to eat, and as few of the different varieties you like to eat, or as many as you like to eat.

If you've photographed the fungus and don't actually like to eat mushrooms, you're DNMC. ;-)

Only Kidding!!

Ten of the top 20 entries in the last Fruits & Vegetables challenge (including all three ribbons) featured a single fruit or vegetable. Just one. None of the top 20 entries showed a fruit AND a vegetable. The challenge description was the same.
