Well I'm at 5.4936 with 7 comments. One lovely person told me that they didn't like my title, didn't think it fit. Oh well!

Technically that would be against the rules.
You may not:
offer or cast biased votes for any other user.
Which is why I personally feel like it would be a bad thing to be "trying for the brown". it runs the risk of encouraging people to vote not on what the picture is but on what they think the actual placement should or should not be.
Another thought:
In the past, someone made lots of comments that said "thank you for entering" or "good job for entering" or something like that. It was for very good reasons (I communicated with her personally about that) but it was said that such cookie-cutter or copy-and-paste comments should not be allowed. One reason given was possible artifical inflation of comment given counts (which can make a difference when regarding challenges only open to those who have a greater comment given count than comment received count, for example). |
