I would most appreciate any feedback on a photo I just posted - a huge departure from my usual. It is okay to tell me if it sucks. We are Team Suck, after all.

Continue departing!
As for pictures you really like - when you submit them to challenges, I highly suggest you turn off scores. You can keep track of comments by either clicking on the thumbnail on your home page, or watching the number of comments received. If the score isn't where you would like to see it, at least you only see that at the end of the challenge, not all week. I'll be turning off scores for this challenge. |

Well it sure as hell stirs up emotions. I don't know WHAT to think about it. It makes me want to know more about her story ... I guess that is a good thing.
What IS her story ?

I guess you can see the pix by going to Fotolia and searching for me as snaffles. |
Congrats snaffles. Seems like a lot of team suck members are excelling out in the real world these days! I tried to do a search for your photo on Fotolia, but I search for the username for some reason (probably something simple I am missing). |

Quite so. And the response was very favourable, as I suspected ;)
My reason of asking was because my feverish mind has been pondering, and I suspect in future to be seeing WPL-only stuff. Like "this challenge only for those in the WPL". This sort of thing may never happen, of course. But were it announced that it might be like that, would it be better to a) still stay clear of the WPL or b) enter the team suck camps not for direct competitive reasons, but just to be able to take part.
I personally wouldn't be interested in joining any other team just to be in the WPL, like. |

It appears as though I'm in the minority. I usually am, though never when it counts, like lotteries or promotions...
I don't think it would be a bad thing to have a WPL team. I really don't see that anything we do now would even change. It'd be a stat somewhere. And just think how much fun it would be if we actually beat somebody! If we didn't, so what? I know some of those teams are wickedly competitive and put a lot of pressure on themselves to "produce" - and I think it gets stressful to some, too. I certainly wouldn't look at it that way or want it to be that way. Just kinda of a fun way to fly the Team Suck flag.

don't worry Catherine! :)
I can't wait until tomorrow and the street challenge to begin!
I can't wait to see all the entries, I'm really looking forward to seeing them.
and I love my entry again, that's a bad sign:) |

I see the Suck League being the antithesis of the WPL. I would rather see people be supported and encouraged to do their best whatever that may be and not worry about scores.
There are members of the Suck League on WPL Teams; that is their choice.
On this one I know I'm in the minority but I would rather see teams leave the Suck League to join the WPL. There is only so much support an individual can give - if someone is supporting their WPL teammates - it may be difficult to support their Suck teammates. |

has a title now. This was going to be my entry in trees but then I realized I only had a raw file. It probably would not have been possible with minimal editing anyway.
Maybe it will inspire me to start the essay on Paul Strand that I need to do.

Thank you, ma'am. Looks better in my favorites listing if it has a real title. :-) |

I just want to say how much Team Suck rocks. I got so many great, constructive comments on my 'How Much for the Girl in the Window' shot. It is wonderful to have a forum of friends where I know I can get honest yet always kind feedback! |

I have a shot in for "Hate". It's not going to do well but I thought this set of challenges kind of sucked and I really didn't have any ideas.
I also have a shot in for trees.

Although I have a good tree as a subject to shoot for this challenge, I am envious of those who have snowy trees to shoot. However, on the other hand I think it could be pretty difficult to obtain perfect snow exposure in minimal editing, so maybe not...looking forward to seeing everyone's trees and streets! |

I've found snow to be a problem unless it's done perfectly. Many people seem to think it's just blown highlights. Mine DOES have snow in it. I couldn't avoid it. |

Hey Noraneko, My son and a bunch of his friends will be visiting your area during spring break in a couple of weeks. They are heading down to Myrtle Beach. Somehow I know when they get there, alcohol will be consumed. Hard to believe isn't it? |

Bob, if they need a place to crash on their way down, they are welcome to stop by my place. We have plenty of room. Hope they have fun (not too much fun, if you know what I mean ;-) in Myrtle Beach! |

You guys wanna spank me now? I entered a "street" shot even though I know it's not what people are looking for. No grunge, no b&w and no homeless people. Though it could easily have been shot on a street. I'm thinking I'll get the brown for this one. |

My street has no grunge, no b&w and no homeless. Maybe I should switch it to b&w so I'll fit in? Probably not. |

But, did I mention it doesn't actually have a street either? LOL ;P |

Today, I will go out to the mean streets of St. George, Utah. Lets see 90% middle class to mind bogglingly rich, 75% Mormon. I̢۪ll be lucky to get a photo of someone with faded blue jeans and a t-shirt.

LOL!!! I hope you don't mind if I share that one with my mom. I was born in Salt Lake City, so I really do get your drift on that. Best of luck! |
