Very bad weather in the south today. Tonight a tornado went through north Columbus. This is as far as I could get to the main damage area. Reports of people trapped in a Hampton Inn and houses destroyed, 18-wheeler trucks and cars turned over.
This is one of the pictures I was able to capture. Hope to have some more tomorrow during the daylight.

I have heard reports of injuries but I don't know the extent. Also the lights to the right in the distance are emergancy crews across the four-lane highway where the hotel was along with restraints, car dealerships, and more.

Please keep the emergency officials, people in harms way, and all that is trying to help in your prayers.

Sorry for the noise but I had to shoot at ISO 1600.

Wow Scott! I hope everyone there is alright. I've been sitting on pins and needles all day with this weather. Knock on wood, it's been pretty calm up this way.

Stay safe.

Enterprise, Alabama to the north of me got hit. So far there are 15 dead at the highschool and 3 other confirmed deaths. My family lost a boat shed. It was in the neighbors yard.

Needless to say, we've had some bad weather in the South today. I pray no more deaths come from it.

Yes, my family is from around Enterprise, Al. At least as of now we have not heard of any fatalities here, I wish that could of been said for Enterprise. It is bad when a life is lost and especially when in a child. My prayers are with all of them as well.
