Apparently people have been paid, however, I won last week ("That's IMpossible") and haven't been paid. One of the people that runs it "Myke" did contact me and asked for my Paypal email address ... but I haven't seen anything. Obviously it has many rough edges and seems very unofficial - if I got paid I might help promote it but right now it seems FISHY! |
As I look back now, what seems odd is I got an invite by email but is was not from the DPC user that offered. I received the invite from someone that I did not know. And know that the persons name has been mentioned I believe (maybe wrong) but thats the name that sent me the invite.
Oh well!!!

QUESTION: If you won first place on this site (votobooth) would you expect to receive the prize within one week ...? ... It's been 1 week and 2 days and all I heard from them was "what's your Paypal address" -- I think this is either a scam site or something very unprofessional at best.

I know. That's why I expected the same. It might be a bait and switch .. they get a bunch of memebers after dishing out a few prizes ... then stop giving as the people start flocking in!!!! ...
Pretty smart idea I guess, but ... well we'll see.
I did hear from "Myke" but nothing other than that.
I haven't given any invites lately because I'm not gonna contibute to this until I get the dough.

Hmmm. I just visited the site and it seems to be down for revamping even though a current contest was going on.

I got my money too. It took a couple of days but I got all of it. |

No, but I did write them to give them my paypal account address, and then I got it almost immediately. I think it was Thursday I got it, 4 days after the end of the contest.

Now I can continue dishing out invites if anyone needs them.
EDIT: also received an email saying that they are upgrading the site and it will be down for a while but the current contest will continue when it's back up.

| I FINALLY got my cheque about a week ago. They said it took so long because they had to order new cheques. Funniest part was that it was a handwritten, PERSONAL cheque! LOL. |

Well I think Votobooth is a bust. I had an image that was winning when they shut down the site. I think it lame as heck that they would do that in the middle of a contest. Makes me think they were going broke. SO I did not get my chance at the $250 even though it looked like I was a shoe in.
I sent them an email after 3 weeks in regards to the site returning and the contest finishing. I have yet to receive a reply. Looks like a big old pile of BS! Completely lame as we did our part to send out invites but ended up getting the shaft.
I am glad you other winners got paid. Looks like you all will be the first and the last.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Would have been nice to get a note or something before they went down so we could get our photos off their site. I'm not too worried about it as I didn't have that many up on there, but still.
I was wondering how long they were going to be able to keep giving out money like that. I couldn't see how it was generating that much revenue. Looks like we'll just have to wait and see what the fate of Votobooth will be.
