Yes, we already rescheduled.
Her hubby is a realtor, and she makes up flyers and such for him that get posted publicly. She did a set last night and posted them, only to realize today (via a phone call en route to my home) that she'd printed them up with her HOME address on them instead of the address of the house for sale.
Hubby was on his way to meet a client, and needed the flyers redone ASAP, so she had to turn around and head home to retrieve, fix, and repost all of them ! |

I got my submission in for Contre-jour. I almost decided on fitness because there are so few entries for that one:-) However, I love my contre-jour shot (probably means that it will fail miserably).
Now to hurry up with my anachronism shot. I think I have a pretty cool idea for it, I just need to go take it.

You can call me an arsehole or a donkey perforation or whatever wiggles your jiggler - I've known worse. Now I have to go through 250 something entries and straighten it all out. So the joke's on me and I should probably get out more or get a life or grow up, but not just yet. |
you are BAD man, raish! You... you... donkeyjiggler!! |

Okay, to help pull us all off the April Fool's focus, and inspired by a thread about Orion, I've edited and posted a shot I took in December of Orion over the Jefferson Memorial:

Ok, sit down.... I have actually entered a challenge. Been a while for me. It's a last minute idea that I thought would be cute... so, it should suck sufficiently :) The challenge was, the word I couldn't say on a bet "Anachronism", Good luck suckmates on all the challenges this week.

Go, Lilt, go! Yayy!! I'm in anachronism, too. I went for the non-DPC shot (knowing full well that my "DPC shot" probably isn't going to score any better). |

I'm in for Anachronism (BAD shot though - maybe worth a 4.0); Changed (not a bad shot, but far from the "expert editing" allowed. Maybe a 4.5), Contre-Jour (not a particularly DPC-friendly shot, so I'll guess a 4.5 for it too). |

Don't think mine is a DPC liked subject, 4-4.5 maybe. I need models, nude ones, and a studio, and and...... talent? :) |

Thanks Jack, good luck to you too, and all the rest of our team and Team Sucker's.
I just put in my Anachronism shot. It's not exactly what I had pictured, but then it hardly ever is :-) At least I did it. Now for the Change challenge LOL I am definitely not as creative as everyone else here, for the vanish one, I was just going to collect all the items and stuff them into the sock. Vanished! OK, so my creativity gene is missing. I am having fun anyway.
Go Golden Brigader's!! (are we supposed to have a team leader or do anything specifically?)

It has been a while for you, October 2006 from what I can tell. Way to go and welcome back!!!! I'm in Anachronism also, but don't worry, my shots won't come close to yours. You have some very nice captures.

we support each other in OSTB photography (out side the box) better known as sucking :)
edit to add... how sad am I? I don't have the will power to turn off the update button, is that like photographers mastacism? DONT CORRECT MY SPELLING. It helps my suckism. :)
and edit to add the forgotten word.

well, we get in a big circle, turn to the right and... oh wait, that was the hokey pokey structure... um, structure's not our strong point. many team suckers barely know what "subteam" they're on. It can mean as much or as little to you as you want. I use it to calculate weekly results. The "winner" gets to vote on awards for DPCers. quiet_observation has that whole process running smoothly now. |

On a non-photographic subject for a minute, tomorrow night marks the beginning of Passover, and I'm very excited for our seder (the ceremonial dinner). My daughters and I spent half the day cooking, and I just spent the past hour getting the lamb shanks halfway done (I'll cook 'em another hour tomorrow night). The house smells FANTASTIC! :)
Passover was always a huge family feast when I was growing up. We'd all go to my grandparents. That is, 4 couples my parents' age plus 11 first cousins.
Passover is the holiday that celebrates the Jewish slaves' escape from Egypt. Parting of the red sea and all that. We don't eat bread because they fled before the bread could rise. Instead, we eat matzah, a flat cracker-like square about 12 inches on a side.
Joining us are a couple that's one of our best friends (however you describe friends who are a couple) and Lindsay's folks. I'm serving:
matzah
hardboiled eggs
matzah ball soup
charoses (chopped apples and walnuts mixed with red wine, cinnamon, and sugar)
gefilte fish (a lump of cod and other white fish with spices, the only thing on the table not made from scratch)
lamb shanks, carrots, celery, garlic, onion, and tomatoes simmered in wine
asparagus in garlic sauce
rice pudding
coconout pyramids dipped in chocolate
chocolate torte
I'm going to try to get a shot of our seder plate (it holds several symbols of Passover) and our food to continue my series of shots of Jewish holidays.

I'll PM you the lamb shank recipe. If anyone else wants it, lemme know, but I don't want to take up too much more space here. :)

If all of these hold, I think I can have new entries in my bottom ten scores, including the lowest EVAH for Free Study. How cool is that?
