I need some help in picking a wide angle lens to shoot in tight places or large groups of people. I have a Rebel XT. I looked on B&H Photo online and didn't find much. Any advice as to where online I could find a good wide angle? Also are there any good places on line to buy used lens, lights etc.?

I have a Tokina 12-24 wide angle lens, and absolutely love it. It's APS-C designed, so will work well on the Rebel (but not on a full-frame sensor). Built like a tank, image quality is excellent, and cheaper than the Canon 10-22. My 2 Cents.

My next lens will be a Tokina 12-24mm for all the reasons he mentioned.

The tokina 12-24 is also available for the Nikon. It is my most favored lens.

Sigma 10mm-20mm. The best value and best at 10mm.

I just got the above mentioned Tokina 12-24mm. Not had the opportunity to use it much (only had it about 3 weeks), but certainly seems to be one I will like very much.

I have the Sigma 12-24.

When I got it, it had two advantages over the other lenses with similar range: It was available for purchase, the others weren't out yet and it DOES cover a full 24mm x 36mmframe vs just APS-C.
