They are my neighbors so, finally a shot outside the family.

And as bonus you get a different crop, the kid is nice

I'll shamely bump this day since I just finish doing some work and even though I already have my Day 12 portrait I'm to tired to PP it. Does that makes sense?? going to bed now!

Day 13 - Wife

My wife doesn't like having her photo taken. She hasn't forgiven me yet for my 12 Days of Xmas picture. She's nice. I like her.

Focusing is the toughest part with a self-portrait and a point and shoot camera. Try using manual focus if possible.

I know there are many, many problems with these self portraits, but I took them in the middle of the night on full manual setting, running back and forth to set the timer. These are the best two from many. I am posting so I can get some suggestions on how a self portrait is done.
I know, I cut off my head

messed up the color

I re-edited my Day 12 shot. I had originally gone with a grainy photojournalistic look, but on second thought I decided I wanted a softer warmer look instead.

Thanks, Vikas! I love reading the story behind the faces. He looks like an interesting guy to hang out with. I love the way you photographed him and processed this. It's a nice pose, and the sepia seems to really fit his personality! Good job!

Here is my Day 12. It gave me a lot of practice on PS and I still need to do more, but here it is anyway.

Thanks Sandy for the comment!

I am really sorry for not being able to setup a comment option on my website due to the lack of my html coding experience :(

You have some of the best environmental portraits I've seen. Really very photojournalistic and professional looking.

Day 14

I am pretty pumped that not only have I made it to day 14 (as I usually peter out of these things well before day 7) but that I have still not duplicated models yet. And I havent even posted an image of Aidan. I always thought that I only had 4 people to choose from. This excercise has really opened my eyes to the potential around me.

Day 14 - James

This was taken in the same very bright light as my mother and Courtney's pictures from earlier, which doesn't help the image but I like it because of the expression on his face. Evil is a very endearing quality in a child.

Ok, this has to be the last of Jenn for a while - her sisters are getting jealous! LOL (Yes, I have other subjects coming up!)
